Cooking is My Business

Jessica Taylor has come a long way since her days working as a studio coordinator at Daddy’s House studio. Pushing her way through the Midtown Manhattan streets, Jessica juggled her time between chasing “Big Apple” dreams and dedicated her to two companies. Working at Bad Boy Entertainment, and interning alongside one of the largest, most influential, Black-owned
Jessica Taylor

Public Relations firms, The Britto Agency, was no easy task. Her past commitments exhibit that she is one to never shy away from a challenge. After the birth of her daughter, Taylor’s mindset shifted towards exploring purpose. Donating her time and talent throughout her community-initiated her non-profiorganizationThPATFoundationI2014Taylowaselecteaone of NFOCUS Magazine’s New Faces of Philanthropy Leaders. That following year, she was recognized by Louisville’s Business First as 20 People to Know within the Non-Profit sector.

Taylor struggled behind the external factors (the once in life-time experiences, her worldly success, awards, and achievements). Not only did she struggle with depression (after heart-break), she sought the meaning of, “What does it mean to be happy?” While healing, she discovered the benefits of meditation and living plant-based lifestyle, which has sparked inner joy.

Today, Jessica masters her many trades, displaying the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle. She teaches creative, artistic methods regarding living whole, healthy life. Her style is simply fun but unique: Using local-sourced ingredients to create plant-based meals. Also, incorporating practices of meditation and fitness that make you feel energized and strong.

The launch of her first book, I Once Was Blind, But Now I Veg, helped Taylor embrace her faults and failures, which she refers to as discoveries. Jessica believes proper health embodies the mind, body, and spirit.

Taylor living proof that surface success might cause joy to manifest, but the natural source of happiness comes from within yourself.
